pARTy for ART returns to Atlantic Station to kick off your summer with DANCE! Come join Dance Canvas for this FREE day-long event onSaturday, June 2nd!  

Join us from 11-3 pm for interactive dance workshops in ballet, jazz, hip hop, pilates and more to keep visitors moving all afternoon. Fun for the entire family!

Dance Canvas' outdoor dance concert begins at 3 p.m. (encore performance at 5pm), featuring beautiful new work of choreographers Lonnie Davis, Ray Hall, Kassandra Newberry, Tianna Sykes and Katie Stull performed by the talented professional dancers of Atlanta.

DANCE CANVAS HOST FREE MASTER CLASS

Dance Canvas in partnership with the Rialto Center for the Arts hosts a FREE Master class with the Trey McIntyre Project Thursday, March 8th at Atlanta Ballet (Buckhead location) at 2:00-3:00pm.

The Trey McIntyre Project master class is made possible through an education/outreach partnership between the Rialto Center for the Arts and Dance Canvas, Inc. The Trey McIntyre Project is in residence at the Rialto Center for the Arts through March 10th. DANCE CANVAS LEADER RECEIVES NATIONAL HONOR

ATL Dance Source wants to send a big congratulations to Angela Harris, founder and director of Dance Canvas, for receiving a national honor from Americans for the Art this past week.

Angela was recognized with the 2011 American Express Emerging Leader Award at the Americans for the Arts Annual convention in San Diego. The award was given to Harris based on her leadership and commitment to advancing the arts.

3RD ANNUAL PARTY FOR THE ART

Hey Atlanta!!! Dance Canvas presents the 3rd Annual "Party for the Art" this Saturday, May 7th at Atlantic Station Central Park. The event is FREE and starts at 1:00 pm. Join them for a day filled with free dance workshops where you will get a chance to dance with Atlanta's top choreographers. Performances will be held at 4:00 pm and 6:30 pm, which will feature choreographers of Dance Canvas and special guests, Bubba Carr and Zoetic Company. Don't miss this great event!
