SIX FLAGS OF OVER GEORGIA 2012 ENTERTAINMENT AUDITIONS

Audition Dates: Saturday January 21, 2012, Saturday February 11, 2012, Sunday January 22, 2012 and Sunday February 12, 2012. 

Time: Registration from 9:00am – 10:00am for Saturday Auditions. Registration is at 11:00am – 12:00pm for Sunday Auditions. Location: Crystal Pistol Music Hall at Six Flags Over Georgia. 

Shows: Pop Musical Revue, 60s Musical Revue, Loony Tunes Dance Revue, Comedy Gunfight Show, Comedic Actors & Emcees: Please prepare a one minute monologue. Please be prepared to read from a provided script as well. Please bring a copy of any scheduling conflicts, resume and a head shot. 

Singers/Dancers: Talented, enthusiastic and high-energy singers and dancers are needed for two in-park shows. A choreographer will be on site to provide a short combination dance for the audition and everyone is expected to participate. Accompaniment will be provided to assist you with your sheet music. No CDs, IPODS or “A-Cappella” will be accepted. Please bring two songs of contrasting styles. Please keep all selections to 16 bars. Please bring a copy of any scheduling conflicts, resume, and a head shot.

Costumed Characters: Male or Female with heights ranging from 5’1” to 5’ 8” tall, with slender build. Must have an outgoing personality, be able to move well and be comfortable in front of a large audience. Must be able to work in full cartoon character costumes while performing simple choreography. Please bring a copy of any scheduling conflicts you may have.

Technicians / Stage Manager: We are looking for audio engineers experienced in mixing live sound, video specialists, light board and follow spot operators, stage hands and wardrobe assistants. Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid Georgia Drivers License. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to work five or more days a week and over 40 hrs a week. Applicant should be able to stand for 8+ hours. DANCE AUDITIONS FOR ILUMINATE

Want to be a part of the most innovative show technology at the largest theme park in the Southeast? Now’s your chance as Six Flags Over Georgia brings iLuminate: the incredible light-up costumes as seen on TV to its show lineup in 2012.

The park is holding the initial round of auditions for dancers to perform in the first ever iLuminate show at Six Flags Over Georgia in Atlanta!

This show is something that has never been done before…performers need to be able to dance/tumble/spin/partner/headspin - all in the dark with strobe lights and other special lighting effects. This is a rare opportunity to be a part of something cutting-edge, so be prepared to dazzle the judges with your incredible talents!

The park is looking for professional, experienced and eager dancers with an open mind who can work with both choreography and improvisational techniques that lead to set movement.

All dancers MUST be able to pick up choreography in a jazz/hip-hop genre. In addition, the park is looking for contemporary dancers, jazz dancers, hip-hop dancers, poppers, lockers, ballroom dancers, break dancers, acrobats, stuntmen, and any style you think will look great in lights.

Auditions will be held at Gotta Dance Atlanta on Saturday, February 4, 2012 with the following schedule:

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Contemporary/Jazz Dancers(Please bring Pointe shoes).
1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Hip-Hop Dancers
4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Specialty Dancers including Breakers, Poppers, Lockers, Ball Room Dancers, Gymnast, Rhythmic Gymnasts, and stuntmen.

Please arrive 1 hour prior to your first audition time with a headshot, resume, and any date conflicts for registration.

ATLANTA OPERA NEEDS MALE DANCERS

The Atlanta Opera is casting 3 trained, male dancers/actors for the spring production of The Golden Ticket, a comic opera based on the acclaimed book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” The production period will run from Feb 9th-March 11th, 2012.

Modern dance & musical theatre background preferred 
Willingness to act silly & funny

DANCE AUDITIONS JAN. 4 2012

Calling all men and women! Dance auditions are being held Wednesday, January 4 at 6:00-9:00pm. Doors will open at 5:30pm. This is a paid position for a 10 month tour.
