SIDEWAYS CONTEMPORARY DANCE COMPANY AUDITIONS

When: Saturday March 10, 2 PM to 4 PM Registration starts at 1:30 PM

SIDEWAYS contemporary dance company is seeking trained dancers for their 2012-2013 season. Season will begin September 2012 and will run through June 2013, with major repertory concerts held in December & June. Rehearsals are held every Sunday from 2 PM to 7 PM and usually begin with a modern or ballet technique class. Dancers are paid for major concerts.

The audition will consist of:

Ballet Barre

Contemporary Repertory from SIDEWAYS

Improvisation

Interview

Solo Performance - Dancers should prepare a one-minute solo showcasing their strengths. (It does not need to be contemporary, modern, or ballet.)

Dancers should bring a current headshot and resume to the audition.


Video auditions:
Dancers wishing to submit a video audition should include the following on a DVD:
Ballet combination
Modern combination
Solo Performance

DANCER OPEN CALL

Hey Atlanta, Get ready!!! On Saturday, May 28th there will be an open call dance audition for Deitrick Haddon's Church on the Moon Tour. The audition is open to both male and female dancers. Darlin Nikki dance crew will be holding open auditions Sunday, February 27th at Gotta Dance Atlanta at 3:00 PM. Darlin Nikki is a edgy, theatrical hip hop based group and they are looking to expand their unique family. Don't miss out. 

VIZION AUDITIONS

On Saturday, February 5th Vizion dance ministry will be holding auditions at Dance 411 at 1:00-3:00 PM. They will be looking for talented dancers and choreographers for their award winning adult and youth ensemble and hip hop fusion ensemble ("America's Best Praise Dance Crew"). Dancers should excel in one or more of the following areas: modern/liturgical, hip hop, tap, jazz, African, mime, and flag/ribbon. Dancers should bring a 60-90 second prepared piece, head shot and resume.
